Dave with Carroll Shelby and Bill Schroeder of the Helms Athletic Foundation receives the
prestigious "Helms Athlete of the Month" award for his international wins at the Times Grand Prix
and Pacific Grand Prix. Dave was the first race car driver ever awarded this honor.
